Handover of the double classroom block took place just ten weeks after the contract was awarded, with site works taking a little over a week due to the fact the building modules were 90% complete when leaving our manufacturing facility.
Inner City Challenges
As well as ensuring the school’s pupils would be able to enjoy their new classrooms in time for the new academic year our team had to coordinate deliveries to site meticulously given the location of the school within an inner London housing estate.
The Scope Of The Contract
Our team worked closely with the client representative throughout the programme that included obtaining planning approval, building control approval, dismantling of existing bicycle sheds, laying of foundations, connections with all mains services, the creation of parking suspensions for access, ramps, and provision of toilet facilities.
Covid-19 Considerations
Our team reversed the accesses to our CleverClass® configuration to provide separate access to each classroom, thereby facilitating appropriate social distancing in light of government Covid-19 guidelines.
