The offsite solution

The client required a solution that would seamlessly integrate with the existing two-storey school building while minimising on-site disruption during the full refurbishment of their existing school.

The 320m2 building includes 9 award winning SmartClass® modules that feature 3 additional classrooms, a staff room extension and a link connection to the main school building. The modules were delivered on site with approximately 70% of the work completed, which lead to minimal disruption on site.

McAvoy was responsible for fitting out the modules, which included plumbing, electrics, internal partitioning, flooring, and cladding.

Harnessing sustainability

Our SmartClass® modular solution incorporates heat recovery ventilation (HRV) systems contributing to enhanced energy efficiency and indoor air quality. This innovative technology, not only minimises the building’s environmental footprint but also cultivates a healthier and more comfortable learning environment for students and staff alike.
