The McAvoy Group has continued to build upon its contribution towards its two nominated charities in 2017, Macmillan Cancer Support and Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke.
The Health and Wellbeing Committee within McAvoy orchestrated the organisation of the first Macmillan Coffee Morning in the company in September 2017.
The morning was a huge success, with the company raising £2800 in total for Macmillan.
2017 also saw The McAvoy Group host a Jolly Jumper Day in aid of Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke on Friday 15th December 2017. Along with wearing their best Christmas themed attire, staff also took part in a raffle to raise money. The raffle, along with the Jolly Jumper Day raised a total of over £1000 for the charity.
Staff in The McAvoy Group also contributed to the Simon Community’s Shoebox Appeal for the Christmas period, which delivers a festive message and a box of essential items to those in need across Northern Ireland. The generosity of staff at The McAvoy Group was unprecedented meaning a full van of essential food items and gifts were delivered in time for Christmas to the Simon Community’s drop off point in Belfast.
The McAvoy Group is committed to building upon its support for their nominated charities in 2018, with exciting plans currently in development.
